1. Was it bad that a guy like Gatsby was rich?
2. Was Daisy just in it for the money?
3. How did Gatsby become so rich?
4. Was adultery "okay" back then or did rich guys just get away with it?

A Home Breeze

We walked through a high hallway into a bright rosy colored space
fragilely bound into the house by French windows at either end.
The windows were ajar and gleaming white against the fresh grass
outside that seemed to grow a little way into the house.
A breeze blew through the room,
blew curtains in at one end and out the other
like pale flags, twisting them up toward the white frosting cake of the ceiling
and then rippled over the wine-colored rug
making a shadow on it as wind does on the sea.

Adultery

Is there a circumstance in which adultery should be allowed? Absolutely not. If you cannot stay faithful to one person then there is no point of being in a relationship at all. I know that many couples would say that adultery is fine as long as the trust between one another is not lost. But seriously, why would you get married to someone that you "love" and obviously want to spend the rest of your life with if you're not even going to be happy being only with them? Your Significant other should be the one and only person that you worry about.

First of all, when two people marry each other it means that they are happy with one another and want to be together forever and hopefully have family. I know for a fact that if adultery had anything to do with my family, i wouldn't be the kind of person that i am today. As parents, they should be the ones to set an example for their children. Adultery should NOT be an option in a marriage.

Outer Appearances

Most people are quick to judge each other by looks. The way you dress can tell a lot about yourself. In today's society I believe that outward appearances are definitely important. For example, every year on the first day of school everyone always dresses to impress. Students try to look their best to make a good first impression on everyone else. Buy using too much make-up, expensive clothes, brand shoes, straighteners and lasting hours in front of a mirror are various ways that prove how everyone, including myself sometimes get too concerned about our outer appearances. I think everyone should worry about their appearance's, not too much to the point where its all you ever think about but to like a point where you look decent, or presentable. I would say that another thing that shows that we might be a little too concerned with our outer appearance is the amount of beauty products at a store and commercials about them. Outer appearances are definitely deceptive. When you first meet someone at a party for example, they're definitely going to be dressed nice and everything.People will treat you differently by the way you look. For many at this age is when having a tattoo, or getting piercings is "cool" but as you get older those are the things that people at a job interview for example will judge you on. In all honesty, to me, money and looks don't matter. My significant others personality would be what attracted me in the first place, his looks or money wont change how i feel about him. I'd say that many people would agree with me that a significant other's money or looks don't matter as much as the way the person really is does. Of course, someones looks can be the main reason why someone could be attracted to them in the first place but everyone knows money and looks don't last forever.
