Stephens King's childhood played an important role in his evolution as a writer. His experiences as a child influenced many of his stories, they encouraged him to write about things that most writers wouldn't. He is really good on giving good detail of the situation he was writing about so that the reader could understand better. When I'm writing, I look back on my own life experiences as well. When I write I like to describe the setting I am in so that the reader can understand my point of view. Life experiences help me a lot when it comes to writing because its something that I personally went through
I think this is completly true. because when you make up a setting its not going to be as deep and detailed as somewhere you know and grew up in, somewhere with sentimental value. Do you think his mothers smoking addiction led to his? Then later leading to much stronger things?
ReplyDeleteYes, as a child most look up to their parents. So the actions that his mother made affected or took some sort of influence in his own actions just like it would with any other kid. Of course not much of a positive one, but it was definitely something that he learned from.

ReplyDeleteNot really, I enjoy writing about my years in middle school because those years were the best but there's not really a certain point in my life that I'll always draw from for my writing, I guess it just depends on the subject.
DeleteWhat do you like writing about that most in life??
